And, that blue surfboard on our Loggish Spear logo? Got it from Mel: it was my 1975 Christmas present from my parents ... as I had no board, as the Plastic Fantastic I had been riding died of a bad case of "tail rot". The Loggish Spear was a dove-tailed winger Mel had made at Heritage Surfboards in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. On the first day he rode it, the board got loose; and someone rode over the board and put a nasty cut in the rail with their fin (above the 'Spear' on our logo) ... so Mel was glad to get rid of that Cursed Board. And, Steve named it, the "Loggish Spear", back in 1976. It rode like dung on most days, but when it got big, it carved some great turns, backside. I took it to Hatteras during a bus-ride/hitchhike adventure down North Carolina Highway 12 during the early spring of 1976 ... while the rest of my family went skiing at Mont-Tremblant in Canada. From the age of three, I was a skier, too. As, also was Mel. See two Dutch maps, Middleburg and Zeeland, Netherlands (Middleburg, Holland and Zeeland Province [1], Holland and Zeelandia Province [2], Holland). Lived in Middleburg and Scheveningen from 1967 to 1969; and went to the a DuPont-sponsored school in Dordrecht, Holland and then the American School of the International School of The Hague, Netherlands. “Cup of Christ”?
