Landscape Modeling and 3D Visualization
People ask me, "What do you do?". Well, pictured above are all the layers of information that I can manage and manipulate with Visual Nature Studio (VNS) and what a little Photoshop can do, too ...
... and, above, is a different "Camera position" of the 3D model I made for sale at Imagekind called "Horseshoe Park", Colorado ...
... and with that done, you can make a new "planemetric" Camera overhead; and make products like THIS download ( filename: mancos_map50k.jpg, filesize: 12.1 Mb ): the last map I made as a research Cartographer at the U. S. Geological Survey in 2003 ... or THIS download ( filename: fauquier4.jpg, filesize: 15 Mb ): the first map that I made, out on my own, of Fauquier County, Virginia; after sailing, surfing and traveling for five years ... a "walk-about" ... after I left the U. S. Geological Survey.

I will cut a CD if data limits restrict my side or your side of sending / receiving email attachments. Single animation files are from 22 Mb to 140 Mb in size. And, here is a 2009 proposal for VNS Version 3 training at USGS for cartographers: ( filename: Visualization Training v3c.doc, filesize: 4.2 Mb ), as a Microsoft Word file. Note: not approved by 3D Nature or Alpha Pixel. See 3D Nature's free download of their "3D Nature Academy" training by clicking HERE.
